Our Mission
Brooklyn Guitar Collective's mission is to spark enthusiasm in the next generation, as well as invigorating adults to pick up their guitar to continue their passion. We strive to interlace community while learning and playing music to foster connection, creativity, and inspiration.
Recognizing that guitar playing has traditionally been male-dominated, we are committed to encouraging and empowering everyone to pick up the guitar and explore their musical potential.
Located in East Williamsburg, our studio offers structured guitar lessons designed to inspire and help you grow as a musician.
Lyss grew up immersed in a diverse range of music, from The Beatles and Prince to Alice in Chains and Fiona Apple. She got her first guitar at 15, a gift from her uncle, and hasn’t looked back since.
She plays guitar for a post-punk band in Brooklyn, performing at venues across Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.
Versed in rock, indie, and blues, Lyss takes a ground-up approach to teaching - ensuring a solid foundation while keeping you growing as a guitarist.
